Launched in 2005 by Richard Neill, R N SOLUTIONS develops technical and commercial
solutions for both short and longer term issues, affecting every part of a product’s
supply chain, working with and adding value to consumer products’ industries.
Focussed on introducing preventative measures and processes, R N SOLUTIONS
works directly with offshore manufacturers, as well as UK based companies, enabling
cost effective product sourcing and supply to European consumers.
With extensive international knowledge and experience of manufacturing, retailing
and mail order businesses, R N SOLUTIONS provides advice and expertise for the
development and implementation of diligent Quality Management and Product Sourcing
strategies. It offers practical support for the approval of selected Products
and Suppliers, conducts audits on potential or existing Vendors, assists in new
Product Development, co-ordinates and manages Product Inspection activities and
advises on existing and emerging Environmental/CSR initiatives.
Working closely with international trusted professionals and inspection/testing agencies,
R N SOLUTIONS develops, co-ordinates and manages tailor made packages of support
to cover retailers, importers and manufacturers’ specific needs.
With this flexible approach in mind, costs are tightly controlled, and each Product
Quality or Sourcing solution developed, is unique to each business, irrespective
of size.
Richard has worked in the field of Quality Assurance and Product Sourcing
for the past 25 years, and has held various senior management positions in Woolworths,
Kingfisher and Storehouse Group companies, as Head of Quality, Sourcing, Environment
and Technical Services.
Prior to that, he worked in the manufacturing sector, and his broad experience
spans a diverse range of household products, including toys, gifts, domestic
appliances, DIY and home textiles, as well as clothing, footwear and fashion
accessories. He has therefore gained direct working knowledge of both hard and
soft goods product categories, and has worked with international suppliers for
the past 20 years.
As well as providing advice on recognised ISO 9000, SA 8000 and EN 14001
standards, the company’s global sourcing expertise covers many countries
of origin, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka,
Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam and The Philippines. Richard’s work in
these countries has included the development of robust quality management systems
and processes, as well as improving environmental and social compliance awareness.
R N SOLUTIONS is able to offer consultancy on an international basis, and
is not restricted to working with UK based companies. It is therefore extremely
well positioned to finding the right solution to a diverse range of issues, and
deploys a network of industry experts from around the world. With this broad
